Altinkum
means 'golden sands'
and when you see the beaches you'll know exactly how it got its name, having
one of the best beaches on the Aegean coast, crystal clear turquoise sea that
gently shelves.
Altinkum's
beaches are ideal for children with Flag system and lifeguards in
place. Altinkum has 3 sandy beaches lined with café bars and
restaurants. There are lots of things for all the family to do here, whether it
be sunbathing, sipping Turkish tea in one of the local cafe’s, shopping in the
bazaar, haggling at Didim market, or taking a daytrip to one of many exciting
places - Adaland aqua park, Altinkum aqua park, Ephesus-roman ruins, Kusadasi, 5
island boat trip, or visiting the Apollo Temple. It is very popular with
British and Irish tourists and English is spoken by almost all of the friendly
local population.
The
sandy beaches are lapped by the Aegean Sea and resemble a very large swimming
pool. As there is only a very gentle slope into the sea, it is considered very
safe for all ages.
